"I'd Gladly Marry You, Aggie" b/w "Twice Nightly"
Serene Dominic & the Semi-Detached
WOE 46 (WorryBird Disk)
released early 1997
7 inch-single
Originally intended for the Heathens of Vaudeville CD, "Twice Nightly" was supposed to sit between "Delores" and "Unreal Man" before being excised from the final running order. A rough mix of the album reveals a troublesome original vocal track which alternated between full throated call and falsetto response, the results sounding very much like a winded Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald duet. Thankfully, a new vocal track was recorded in November, 1996 at the Onederground Studios. Thanks Jamal Ruhe!
Twangy guitars, catchy vocal harmonies, and a lil' psychedelic wah-wah party together amidst the laid-back California pop. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 9, 2015
